§199A Pass-Through Deduction Under the August 8, 2018 Proposed Regulations: How to Turn High Taxed Tears to Joy

3 Self-Study CPE

Program Description:

The all-new §199A pass-through deduction cuts non-C Corp income tax rates to the lowest in 3 decades, but only for those eligible. Some higher (and lower) income taxpayers are aced out or trimmed back. Treasury's newly released "mostly taxpayer friendly" proposed regs teach us how to goose the goose that lays the golden egg.

You will learn:

  •  Understand the complex new pass-through entity deduction (QBID) through a series of clearly explained examples
  •   Determine who loses the deduction, who dodges the QBID reduction bullet and how businesses may be aggregated to dodge a bullet
  • Lasso income, wages and property into the right spots to maximize QBID
