How to Price Accounting Services

1 Self-Study CPE

Course Description:

Pricing of professional services is a complex and often, a difficult task.

Over the years, accountants have learned new technologies, developed new service lines and become adept at marketing their services. One area where accountants have been slow to change is the pricing of their services. Most accountants still use the hourly rate in determining the value of a specific service. Unfortunately this method is completely internally directed and does not consider the client in the equation at all.

With today’s more sophisticated clients, it’s important to get them engaged in the pricing process. If you don’t know what they want and how they value a service, you won’t be able to price it accordingly. Also, it is important to know the different pricing methods you can use other than the hourly billing approach.

In this webinar you will learn:

  • How a production orientation is harmful to your firm
  • How clients perceive utility
  • How clients perceive value
  • Where your services fit on a value curve
