Program Description:
Congress’ most recent tax legislation has hit the ground running. Effective dates are all over the place. A good portion is effective immediately. This affects (or could affect) our behavior immediately. We must know what the law says to know what to do.
What’s in the bill? Who is affected? Who benefits? Who dodged the bullet? Who takes a bullet? When is each specific piece of the new law effective?
Highlights
- The low-down on IRS’s new $80B in funding – (All political hype aside) What it means to you and your clients
- Residential energy credits on steroids – Improving your home? New pay dirt
- New constraints on absorption of closely held business losses
- Energy credits for rental properties and business buildings – More than meets the eye
- The all-new C Corp book income AMT and stock buyback taxes – Who’s on the hook – Who escaped for now (but, only for now)
- Premium tax credit – More opens up for subsidy
- Electric vehicle credit turned upside down – Be careful which one you buy and when – If you wait (or waited) too long, you may be toast
Clients will expect us to know. We need to know. For answers to these and more questions about the immediate and long-term impact of the legislation, dial into our new program. We’ll heat it up, serve it up to you and make it taste as good as we can.
