I’m super-close to finishing the updates on the JumpStart Your Accounting Business course I’ll be teaching live in June. I created this course in 2013 and have strived to improve it every year. It includes 8.5 hours of webinar training, one ebook, and several forms, samples, and templates designed to jumpstart your business revenue. It’s a complete brain dump of everything I know to get cash and clients flowing in the door for you fast without spending a fortune on marketing.

We cover marketing basics, pricing options, client communications and onboarding, marketing materials, lead generation, tech tools, online marketing, influencing your prospect, marketing planning, negotiation, content marketing, and your questions. It’s all about generating more revenue for you.

  1. What are the best ways to service clients that are using QBs Desktop without traveling to their office?

    What is the average acceptable cost, from the clients perspective, for a new small business to pay for a QB’s setup – either on desktop or QBO?

  2. 1. How does your plan compare to others ? https://www.absoluteengagement.com/ or for us in CANADA http://www.2020canada.ca/consulting/ and many others. Few Firms cater to the solo operator Micro business (accounting or bookkeeping) Which is a Completly different Target market than larger CPA or Accounting firms. So in Dollars. Firm billing (from 50,000.00 to 200,000.00)

    2. Webinars, PDF books provide information. Often concrete change involves direct coaching and understanding of the local area (ie. Province/City ) Issues. Such as business is located in a Small town with high unemployment or business is in a City where there is high employment and high min. wage. Such as min wage is 15.00 / hour (This creates pressure to outsource work? Maybe? When and how.. and how is the outsource managed? We have used ODesk Temp Project contract work. Helps with capacity on Project/ overflow work.
    3. IN our case tax season is the worst for cash flow. Why? Hundreds of extra requests, the payout of overtime to get rush jobs done. CRA (Federal Tax dept) follow up inquiries takes up a lot of time with extra cost, and no extra billing to clients. Much of this extra cost is not planned but just happens. So contrary to a common idea Being biggest income time… IN fact It is not a big cash cow, in fact it is 2 months of cash Losses. Arlee

  3. Along with pricing fairly….I am new at starting my business should I start out with low rates until I get more established? What if I find out I can’t deliver on what the client is asking for?
