Sales – Business Development Sales Specialist for Professional Services Sales

Seeking a business development sales specialist with a great personality and a track record of meeting sales quotas.  You are motivated, reliable, responsible, and organized, and want to excel in your life.

You will be the first employee of our new sales department selling services from thousands of inside leads as well as hunting for new opportunities.  You will work from a plan to build business in several different service areas with the owner’s assistance.  You must be organized and consistent with your communications and follow-ups and have experience with 3-9 month closing cycles.  You must also be tech-savvy and have experience with a CRM.

Our divisions include training and consulting services, web development and online marketing services, events, and more. The business is highly scalable and there is no upper limit for a couple of the divisions.   Our clients include accounting firms, small businesses, technology companies, membership organizations, and large companies.

This is a positive, energetic, and FUN business.  You will be on the phone much of the time and work with other team members in San Jose, CA and Dallas, TX.

Essential Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree or 10 years’ experience selling
  • 2-5 years sales closing experience with an ability to make several calls a day and track and follow up on leads.  Exceptional customer service skills will also be considered.
  • Above-average relationship development skills
  • Above-average phone selling skills
  • Ability to research, discover, and close new opportunities in all of our divisions is a plus
  • Ability to seek out and build partnerships that lead to revenue generation is a plus
  • Tech-savvy and willing to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Light travel

Salary is based on a formula that includes a base plus commission.  This job is part-time or full time, depending on the candidate. Full time benefits include health insurance, 401K, paid holidays, vacations, and personal leave. Relocation is not required.
